With… the air of a good customer, who wants to buy an expensive pair of sunglasses, but also with incredible audacity at the same time, a would-be thief appeared in a well-known optical shop, which is located in the “heart” of Thessaloniki.
It seems, however, that he counted without the… shopkeeper, who beat him to the punch.
Posing as a customer, the man entered the store, initially asking the owner of the business to show him a pair of designer sunglasses. But when she turned her back on the supposed customer, he quickly shoved the sunglasses down the back of his pants. The owner, who immediately noticed the suspicious movements of the perpetrator, forced him to return the glasses to her, while then during an intense dialogue, he pushed her, before she finally managed to lead him to the exit.
According to the owner of the optical shop, this is not the first time that this man has tried to steal glasses. The specific sunglasses, as she stated, cost 400 euros. In the past, the same man had attempted to steal glasses from another store of the same company, located directly across the street.
