The local community of Kerameia is shocked by the abominable incident highlighted on Monday by aeolos.tv, about the 78-year-old man who allegedly shot a stray dog in front of children on Sunday.
The loss of “Bingo” as the stray dog was called, has filled the students of the Keramion Primary School with sadness, as they took care of him every day and he was their dearest friend.
The complaint was made to the Police, one day after the incident, by a teacher of the primary school in Kerameia.
It is worth noting that the weapon with which he shot the dog has not yet been found, nor has the body of the dog.
Bingo was generally very popular with the villagers.
According to the residents of the area, the students of the elementary school had a special weakness for him, they took care of him while the dog himself even entered the classroom with them when they were teaching. Bingo has still not been found, while no weapon was found in the possession of the alleged perpetrator who was arrested by the authorities.
The 78-year-old was arrested but released after a case was filed against him.

In detail, the police announcement states the following: “The Agiasos Police Department opened yesterday (09-01-2023) a criminal case file against a citizen, for violation of legislation regarding the abuse of animals and for violation of the legislation on weapons. In particular and according to a complaint, the above-mentioned citizen, being in a rural location the day before yesterday (08-01-2023) in the wider area of Kerameia in Lesbos, shot at a stray dog. A preliminary investigation is being conducted into the incident by the Agiasos Police Department.”
