It’s beach time. In a country with about 8,000 km of coastline, there is no shortage of sand strips bathed in crystal clear water, but each with its own characteristics.

There are those that serve as a starting point for a short trip to a natural pool, full of small fish, with water reaching your waist, and those that are more hidden, where you can swim completely without your bathing suit, with no one around, watching. . Those who like a good crowd to enjoy sea and sun with a lot of excitement will also find options. The best beach is the one
where we feel good.

This list, which does not include all the beach states, is a small sample of what the country has to offer and, mainly, a guide to guide bathers. To enjoy the coast even more, pay attention to the tide table.

Barra Grande

Cajueiro da Praia (PI)

It is part of the Route of Emotions, a tourist route that connects Fortaleza (CE) to São Luís (MA). In the sandy streets, in addition to inns, there are bars, cafes and restaurants, whose doors only open after sunset, when the kite crew has their feet on the ground. At low tide, walk about 3 km out to sea and relax in natural pools.

Ponta grossa

Icapuí (CE)

The last city of Ceará on the east coast, on the border with the RN, has a variety of beautiful beaches with colorful cliffs, dunes, sandbanks, rivers and mangroves. Ponta Grossa manages to put all this together, with seas as far as the eye can see and, what is better, almost always without people. Nearby are also the beaches of Redonda and Peroba. The best time to go is from July to December.

Sibaúma

Tibau do Sul (RN)

Turtle spawning place, this beach, let’s say, still wild, is after the very popular Pipa, heading south. Originating from an old quilombo, the fishing village is quite peaceful, despite already having a luxury hotel. The Catu River can be crossed on foot, even at high tide. On the other side, there is a reef barrier that protects the coast from the strongest waves.

Corral White

Pitimbu (PB)

Farol or the neighboring (and even better preserved) Branca do Curral are the main natural pools in the municipality. They form at low tide between 1.5 km and 3 km from the coast. At waist height, the transparent water allows you to see the bottom clearly. With snorkel, it is possible to see fish of different species. For those who enjoy a beach like they came into the world, without clothes, Tambaba is a 25-minute drive away.

São Bento

Maragogi (AL)

On the border with Japaratinga, another municipality with beautiful waters, São Bento is still a peaceful fishing village. From the beach, small boats leave for the natural pools, about 3 km from the coast. It is in the so-called croa de São Bento, a place of coral formations and translucent waters, the stopping point for scuba diving or simply for a peaceful bath, overlooking the coast. It is only possible to visit at low tide, that is, up to 0.6 at this point on the Costa dos Corais.

Ponta do Corumbau

Meadow (BA)

When the tide starts to go down, it’s time to cross the strip of sand about 500 meters out to sea. The “corridor” of sand reveals, on one side, a swimming pool with calm, crystalline and greenish waters. On the other, the rough sea, “cut” by the mouth of the Corumbau river. It is close to Monte Pascoal. It is a place to contemplate, breathe and relax. Heading south, it is about 50 km from the village of Cumuruxatiba. To the north, approximately 10 km, is Caraíva. The name of the place already gives it away: Corumbau means “far from everything” in the Tupi translation. Perfect all year round.

Lopes Mendes

Big Island (RJ)

There the waves arrive strong, crashing in a 3 km strip of fine and firm sand. Its crystal clear waters are home to turtles, sea bass, moray eels and other marine inhabitants that seduce visitors willing to leave the surface. The variation of sea tones is another attraction, framed by a generous chunk of Atlantic forest. From Vila do Abraão, in the center of the island, launches and boats leave, which from the pier to Pouso beach take 30 to 50 minutes. At the end of this path, you have to face a light trail of just 1 km until you reach the beach. OK.

Farm

Ubatuba (SP)

It is about 30 minutes from the center of Ubatuba, towards Paraty. Bordered by two rivers, the strip of sand is within an environmental protection area, the Serra do Mar State Park, Núcleo Picinguaba, name of a fishing village that can be accessed from there on foot. Among the many advantages of this beach, one is that even in the busy summer holiday season it remains almost always deserted. There are no stalls or street vendors on its edge. Covered by a strip of white sand that extends for 3.5 km, with calm sea, the Farm is ideal for those looking for a direct connection with nature. Close by, we also have the nice beach of Picinguaba and the much wilder “roots” beach, Camburi de Ubatuba, the last beach before the border with the state of Rio.

sachet

Florida (SC)

Lagoinha do Leste, without a doubt, usually appears on lists of the most beautiful beaches in the country. In fact, it is worth getting to know it, with the cost of taking trails or, something lighter, crossing it by boat. For those who opt for a light walk, practical for children and the elderly, with an incredible view of the coast, Saquinho, close by, is just the right amount. To get there, take the paved road to Pântano do Sul, turn right towards Praia dos Açores and head towards Praia da Solidão. In this, surrounded by still intact hills, a small river flows into the sea.

Security cabin

Torres (RS)

Summer in Rio Grande do Sul is usually very sunny, with isolated rains. The only place in Rio Grande do Sul by the sea graced by volcanic hills that have risen along the shore, the beach, located in the park of the same name, is located in a convivial area designed by coves and cliffs. Bathed by water suitable for surfing and water sports, Guarita maintains a pleasant temperature from December to April, also for a tibum.
