“From February 1, the shopping card starts and by the end of February, the money will have entered the accounts, either in the immaterial card, with the 8,400,000 beneficiaries receiving 22 euros to 100 euros per month, he told SKAI and the show “Kalimera” with Giorgos Autias, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, Nikos Papathanasis.
“We are on the side of every fellow citizen, the pensioner, the worker. What we want is to continue to support each and everyone in this crisis. We have chosen to support our most vulnerable fellow citizens because we want to be close to those who are really in need,” he added.
Mr. Papathanasis clarified that the shopping card “is also valid for guests. Family members and guests are included in the application. If we choose IVAN we have a 20% reduction. 10% is 52 euros for a family of four. The money will go into the card every month, until the end of February the beneficiaries will see the money in their accounts. The three months will enter IVAN at the end of February and the next three at the end of May.”
Regarding fishing, Mr. Papathanasis emphasized that the victims of electronic fraud will be compensated. “We put a safety margin of up to 1000 euros to protect the consumer. Of course, banks must take care to protect the operation of this system. We protect consumers, from 1000 euros and above they are reimbursed by the bank. It is a safety net to prevent this from happening”, he said characteristically
Mr. Papathanasis announced that he will be a candidate in the Northern Sector of Athens because – as he said – “it is an opportunity to enter into the judgment of our fellow citizens. We have worked for so long, we are ready to testify our experience and be judged as our parliamentary system provides.”
