They unhooked the wires, cut a hole in the wall and burst into the convenience store, grabbing cigarettes and whatever else they could find.
Thrasytati rupture was noted in the early hours of Wednesday at a convenience store on March 25 with loose cigarettes and other tobacco products of value over 10,000 euros as well as the money in the treasury which was approx 1,000 euros.
The perpetrators who “knocked” at 4 in the morning apparently studied every part of the store, while in order not to sound the alarm of the store, which is connected to a security company, they broke in, as the owner of the convenience store, Dimitris Despoularis, told voria.gr first in the apartment building and they untied all the telephone wires.
As Mr. Despoularis described, the two perpetrators broke into his shop breaking a wall point which is made of plasterboard and which is not visible from the main road.
Before they broke in and after they cut the phones of the store and the entire apartment building they broke the outer alarm box and dunked it in a bucket of water rendering it useless, while with a sledgehammer they broke a spot in the plasterboard, opening a hole through which they entered the shop.
As Mr. Despoularis said, the two perpetrators “were wearing full face masks and gloves” and with their comfort they took all the tobacco products worth more than 10,000 euros and from the cash register “780 euros in bills and 230 euros in coins”.
