The news of the death of a 57-year-old man from Zakynthos has caused grief in the local community, who, as it was found, died of leptospirosis, after a 15-day hospitalization in the ICU of the Zakynthos General Hospital.
According to information from imerazante.gr, the man was admitted to the hospital at the beginning of the month (2/1) and after specialized tests to which he was submitted when he was admitted to the ICU, it was found that he had leptospirosis. He was then intubated.
Unfortunately, however, after a two-week battle, he did not manage to keep himself alive and passed away on Tuesday, January 17.
