How can citizens distinguish between licensed Primary Health Care facilities
The Medical Association of Thessaloniki, on the occasion of the new case of a fake doctor that led to the death of five people, issued instructions to the citizens in order to be able to distinguish the licensed Primary Health Care facilities.
Specifically, the Medical Association of Thessaloniki states in its announcement:
“On the occasion of recent reports about the deception of citizens by fraudsters posing as doctors, the Medical Association of Thessaloniki would like to point out the following:
-The practice of medicine is allowed only in licensed Primary Health Care facilities (clinics-laboratories) by doctors who are compulsorily registered with the Medical Association of Thessaloniki.
Citizens are invited when they visit P.F.Y. to make sure that they have the license from ISTH which is certified by a special label of “legally licensed clinic”.
Also, if there are relevant doubts, they should search for the last name of the doctor – a registered member of the ISTH, through the website of the Medical Association of Thessaloniki at the following link: https://isth.gr/lista-iatron/
