It is only a matter of time before arrest warrants are issued for both the 66-year-old fake doctor from Kalyvia, Dionysis Triantafillou, who is accused of defrauding at least 15 patients with serious illnesses, resulting in five of them losing their lives, as well as for his 70-year-old accomplice , the general practitioner from Germany.
An investigation into the case of the 66-year-old, who posed as a neurologist and physiotherapist, has also been ordered by the head of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority, Charalambos Vourliotis. In particular, it has been requested that the banking secrecy be lifted and the fake doctor’s accounts become “leaf and feather” by the authorities.
In the event that the Greek authorities proceed to issue an arrest warrant, then they will have to transfer the warrant to the German authorities as well because the 70-year-old accomplice of the fake doctor resides in Germany.
According to EL.AS, the 66-year-old fake doctor who denies the accusations, citing fabricated cases, is accused of:
- continuous fraud, carried out both in an attempt and jointly, with damage that was caused and intended and exceeds the sum of 120,000 jointly and that the perpetrators with their partial acts anticipated the total financial benefit resulting from the continuous performance and the total property damage,
- manslaughter by serial negligence and by common omission;
- attempted homicide by serial and joint omission;
- grievous bodily harm serially together,
- money laundering from criminal activity in the form of concealment regarding the use of property or the place where it is located, knowing the fact that it comes from criminal activity and that the object of the money laundering exceeds the amount of 120,000 euros and that the perpetrator exercises such kind of professional activities
The testimonies from complainants about his actions are shocking
At the same time, more and more complaints are being made public about his actions.
“A man who is very ill is hooked by this hope. So she was hooked by him. When he later saw no improvement and called to voice his complaints and ask for his money back, the doctor was indifferent. When he himself was hosted the night he was hosted, a 12-year-old child was presented to him where he told him a fairy tale, when he was in a wheelchair and this man, Dionysis made him walk. In other words, he was also implicating others in this whole case,” said Mrs. Katerina speaking to SKAI.
“My father was diagnosed in 2008 with Als. He told him to stop the treatment he was taking until then and to faithfully follow his instructions, he started taking various preparations. He did a stem cell treatment first and then he would courier some preparations, peptides were vials, which he would inject into the abdomen. Gradually after six months or so of the treatment she was receiving, the situation began to worsen,” said Mrs. Irini.
Among the complainants are well-known names such as a well-known champion who claimed that he gave 35,000 euros to the fake doctor and as soon as he realized the fraud he started receiving threats.

According to what was reported about the case by the press representative of the Hellenic Socialist Party, Konstantina Dimoglidou, on SKAI and on the show of Giorgos Autias, the fake doctor and his accomplice, taking advantage of the longing of people with serious illnesses for a cure or to improve their health, they were tricked and persuaded to abandon their treatment and follow a “breakthrough” treatment.
As he said he charged his treatments according to the financial capacity of each patient and how much money they were willing to spend. “It reached the point where each vial sells for 25,000-30,000 euros,” said Mrs. Dimoglidou.
She added that so far only 15 cases have come to light, but she expressed the belief that with the publicizing of the case, there will be more victims.

The 66-year-old had turned his house in Koropi, which was also his doctor’s office, into a real fortress. He had installed four security cameras, a 360-degree panoramic one, has a wall of at least meters and iron security doors.
