In the context of the traffic, a 46-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday night, January 25, in the area of Agios Dimitrios, by police officers of the DIAS Group, accused of shoplifting.
In particular, according to ELAS, shortly before his arrest, the 46-year-old had broken into a hair salon in the area of Agios Dimitrios, after previously breaking the glass.
The accused removed a sum of money and jewelry, and immediately afterwards fled. Police officers of the DIAS Team who rushed to the scene found him after searches, while a sum of money and the stolen goods were found in his possession and confiscated.
It is noted that near the point of the arrest, police officers found in a trash can a helmet, a crowbar, a hat and a wig which, as established by the preliminary investigation of the Security Department of Agios Dimitrios, had been used to commit thefts.
A total of 5 cases from shops in the area of Agios Dimitrios and one case of bicycle theft were investigated.
The arrested person was taken to the competent prosecutor, while the police investigation continues.
