The Civil protection Ministry issued a new statement underlining that due to the continued “reproduction of lies and slander” against the minister and the general secretary as well as the public discussion about the alleged conversations of police officers with those involved in criminal cases, it is recalled that both cases by order of Mr. .Theodorikakou have been sent to the Internal Affairs Service, in order to be investigated.
The Ministry’s announcement in detail:
“As the reproduction of lies, slander and baseless accusations – based on a false statement of a demobilized officer against the Minister of Citizen Protection and the Secretary General of the Ministry – has continued today, by some media outlets – and, as well as the public debate about the alleged communications of police officers with those involved in criminal cases, it is recalled that: by order of the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, both cases have been sent to the Internal Affairs Service of the Security Forces for a rapid and thorough investigation and their findings will be sent to the independent Greek Justice.”
