EL.AS- Koronovos controls: 7 arrests, suspension of 12 stores and hefty fines

The controls of ELAS continue at a steady pace, throughout the country, for the implementation of the measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. In particular, the inspections carried out yesterday, Sunday, December 26, the third day of the new measures, amounted to 80,477, while 7 arrests were made, the operation of 12 stores was suspended and 458 fines were imposed for not using a mask.

It is noted that from yesterday’s inspections, 36,483 were carried out at the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

Analytically, according to the data of the Headquarters of ELAS, the results of the inspections are the following:

-458 infringements for non-use of a mask and related infringements, while an equal number of fines of 300 euros were imposed, as follows:

– 133 in Attica,

– 78 in Thessaloniki,

– 55 in the North Aegean,

– 29 in Central Greece,

– 28 in Crete,

– 25 in Central Macedonia,

– 20 in Western Macedonia,

– 19 in Western Greece,

– 18 in the Peloponnese,

– 6 in the South Aegean,

– 15 in Epirus,

– 11 in Thessaly,

– 6 in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and

– 5 in the Ionian Islands.

– 1 violation for restriction of movement with the imposition of a fine of 300 euros in the North Aegean.

-153 violations and 7 arrests for rules of operation of stores, private companies, etc. violations of the relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, non-use of mask, percentage of square meter per person, etc.).

In the above cases, the following sanctions were imposed for violation of suspension of operation, etc. related infringements of the relevant provisions. Specifically:

In Attica

– Arrest of a temporarily responsible store, with the imposition of a 60-day suspension of operation, for customer service without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to the customer,

– Arrest and a fine of 5,000 euros to a temporary store manager, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for customer service without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to the customer,

– 14 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by shop owners and employees,

– 1 violation in a store, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.

In Thessaly

– Arrest and a fine of 5,000 euros to a store owner, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for customer entry without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to the customer,

– Arrest and a fine of 5,000 euros to a store owner, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for serving a large number of customers,

– 6 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and a store customer,

– 3 violations in stores, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.

In Western Greece

– Arrest and a fine of 5,000 euros to a temporary manager of a health interest store, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for serving 3 customers without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to customers,

– Arrest and a fine of 5,000 euros to the owner of a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for serving 2 customers without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to customers,

– 4 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by the owner and employees of stores.

In Crete

– Arrest and a fine of 5,000 euros to a store owner, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for serving 13 customers without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to customers,

– 6 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by employees and customers of stores.

In Central Macedonia

– 10,000 euros fine to a store owner, with the imposition of a 30-day suspension, for customer entry without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to the customer,

– 26 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by owners, employees and customers of stores,

– 12 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by passengers and a driver of vehicles,

– 1 violation in a store for not posting a sign of store operating rules.

In Epirus

– 5,000 euros fine in a store, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for customer service without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to the customer,

– 8 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and customers of stores,

– 1 violation in a store for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.

In Central Greece

– 5,000 euros fine to a store owner, with a 15-day suspension for lack of antiseptics at the tables,

– 1 violation of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by a store owner.

In the Peloponnese

– 5,000 euros fine in a cafe, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for entry of 2 customers without the necessary certificates and a fine of 300 euros to customers,

– 5,000 euros fine in a bar, with a 15-day suspension, for serving a large number of customers,

– 3 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and a store customer,

– 1 violation in a store for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.

In Thessaloniki

– 6 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and a customer of stores,

– 5 violations in stores for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.

In the North Aegean

– 4 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by a customer and store employees,

– 4 violations in stores for not posting a sign of the maximum allowed number of people and operating rules.

In Western Macedonia

– 4 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by the owner and employees of stores,

– 10 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by a driver and passengers of vehicles and buses,

– 2 violations of 300 euros, for deprivation of necessary certificates, by bus passengers.

In Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, 8 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by owners, employees and customers of stores. In addition, 1 violation for not using a mask, in a bus waiting area.

In the Ionian Islands, 5 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by temporary managers, employees and customers of stores.

In the South Aegean

– 2 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by a customer and a store employee,

– 2 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by vehicle passengers,

– 1 violation in a store for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
