He is expected to be discharged tomorrow – His health condition is good, doctors say
Time is counting down to return to the comfort of home for 2.5-year-old boy who swallowed occlusive fluid. The child who has been out of the ICU for two days remains for preventive reasons in the Pediatric Clinic from where he is expected to be discharged soon.
According to what was reported to ERT by the commander of PAGNI Giorgos Chalkiadakis, “the health of the child is good. Tomorrow the doctors will see him again and if everything continues to go well he will be discharged.”
It is recalled that the little boy, under unspecified circumstances and as reported by his parents, swallowed the occlusive liquid and was initially taken to the Chania hospital, where he was intubated and then to PAGNI, where he was admitted to the Children’s ICU.
His condition was quickly stabilized and tests performed on him, which showed only superficial injuries, allowed him to be quickly extubated and released from intensive care last Tuesday afternoon.
