The Fire Department is conducting an investigation to shed light on the circumstances under which the fire broke out.
The local community of Paleokomi in the municipality of Amfipoli, in Serres, is shocked.
On Wednesday night he was spotted on a plot of land the body of an 88-year-old woman. Earlier, on the spot he had fire breaks out -for an unknown reason- and rushed to the spot Fire Service, but without attempting to put it out, as the flames had gone out. However, in an update of the Fire Service it is noted that there were obvious evidence which indicated that a fire had broken out at the scene.
The body of the unfortunate woman was found by the fire department. .
The investigation department of the Fire Department is conducting an investigation in order to shed “light” on the circumstances under which the fire broke out and also on the way in which the woman met a tragic death.
The announcement of the Fire Service:
“The body of an elderly woman was found in a plot of land, where there were obvious signs of a previous fire, which had been extinguished before the arrival of our Service, which was notified during the evening hours today, in the P.K. Paleokomi, of the municipality of Amfipoli Serres. For the above incident, a preliminary investigation is being conducted by the competent investigative department.”
