With the funeral of the captain of the fatal Phantom, Efstathiou Tsitlakidisthe epilogue of the tragedy that unfolded last Monday, when the fighter crashed in the area of ​​Andravida, is written.

The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the Minister of Defense, Nikos Panagiotopoulos will go to Granite Drama, where the funeral procession will be held at 12 noon.

The body of the unlucky pilot will be in the Holy Church of Pammegisto Taxiarhon from 10 in the morning.

A tragic detail is the fact that the 31-year-old pilot was preparing his wedding, which is why his family decided during the funeral service to distribute favors and white roses to those present.

Yesterday, in an atmosphere of deep sorrow, the funeral of the co-pilot of the Phantom, Marios – Michael Turoutsika, who passed away at the age of just 29, was held in Tripoli.

Present at the ceremony were Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the leader of the official opposition Alexis Tsipras and the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Speaking at the funeral, the mother of the deceased pilot broke hearts: “You became the Icarus of our hearts. Greece sees your face and shouts immortal”.
