Taking off in the aerial “footsteps” of the two deceased pilots. “Sacred” formal and silent honors, in Andravida.
Exciting moments are unfolding, in the last few days, at the 117th Fighter Wing of Andravida, where the deceased pilots, Stathis Tsitlakidis and Marios – Michael Touroutsikas, served.
In an atmosphere of deep sadness, the “phantoms” honored their two dead colleagues in their own way, while today, with the funeral of the captain of the fatal Phantom, Efstathios Tsitlakides, the epilogue of the tragedy that unfolded last Monday, when the fighter crashed in the area of Andravida.
In an atmosphere of overwhelming silence, a “Phantom F-4” took off and its two pilots made exactly the same aerial, fatal route that their late colleagues had made last Monday morning.
Then everyone headed to the rescue area, where the bodies of the lost pilots are kept, holding a flower in hand.
Now the two cupboards, of Stathis and Marios – Michael, will remain intact (for a long time), faithfully following the tradition.
