New prosecutions against the babysitter in Thessaloniki – Accused of beating 8 more babies

ELAS made new revelations about the actions of the 48-year-old nursery nurse who allegedly physically abused young children in a nursery school in Thessaloniki and who was arrested last November following a complaint by her colleague.

Initially, the accusations related to physical violence against four children – she was referred to be tried at the Autoforo Trimeles Plemmeliodikon of Thessaloniki, accused of beating and mistreating infants aged up to 1.5 years and was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months in prison without parole. The 48-year-old appealed and was released.

According to today’s announcement by the General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki, police officers of the Sub-Directorate for the Protection of Minors of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki continued the preliminary investigation after the arrest of the 48-year-old woman for the offenses of bodily harm, attempted dangerous bodily harm and bodily harm to vulnerable people.

From the investigation, it was found that the woman committed the same crimes against an additional eight minors, at which point a relevant case file was filed against her.

However, in the context of an ongoing preliminary investigation, after the arrest of a 48-year-old woman for the offenses of bodily harm, attempted dangerous bodily harm and bodily harm to weak people, police officers of the Sub-Directorate for the Protection of Minors of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki found that the babysitter committed the same offenses against an additional eight minors, so a relevant case file was filed against her.

For the case, it caused a shock video where the woman in question is seen slapping a child and violently pulling him by the hand, while he can be heard saying: “What are you looking at, you look like you’re going to eat. Come on, let’s go to sleep.”
