Attica on the side of earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria
Many municipalities of Attica are proceeding with the gathering of humanitarian aid for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
Last night the Municipality of Lavreotiki made a relevant announcement and today four other municipalities are proceeding with this solidarity initiative.
The Municipality of Aigaleo, in collaboration with the Hellenic Red Cross, will collect long-lasting food (flour, pasta, legumes, evaporated milk, milk powder for children, canned goods of all types, cereals, nuts), sleeping bags, blankets and personal hygiene items at the town hall from tomorrow Wednesday (8/2) from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
The Municipality of Byron collects first aid supplies, medical equipment, tents, blankets and quilts at the Social Grocery (6 Ithomis) every day from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and at the Byron Fire Station (Chrysostomou and Katehaki) from 11:00 a.m. in the morning until 10.00 in the evening, every day and at the weekend.
The Municipality of Nea Philadelphia-Nea Chalkidona collects milk and long-lasting food (cans, cereals, nuts), medical equipment (painkillers, anti-inflammatories, first aid kits, saline, etc.), warm clothes for children and adults, blankets, bedding and personal hygiene items in the area of Fr. Strat. Factory (Varnali & Perikleous) in Nea Chalkidona, tomorrow Wednesday (8/2) and Thursday (9/2) from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, as well as on Friday (10/2) from 9.00 to 11.00 in the morning.
The Municipality of Elefsina will collect essential items, such as blankets, quilts, tents and medical equipment at the town hall and the former town hall of Magoula from tomorrow Wednesday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
We remind you that the Municipality of Lavreotiki collects long-lasting food, medical equipment and basic necessities from today Tuesday and every day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Lavrio town hall, at the old Keratea town hall and at the Offices of the Association of Friendship and Solidarity of the Peoples, behind the Cultural Center of Lavrio.
