Ships will remain tied up from today (Wednesday) in all the country’s ports, due to a 48-hour nationwide strike, which the Panhellenic Maritime Federation (PNO) has announced for all categories of ships, requesting the drawing up and signing of new Collective Labor Agreements for 2023 .
The Panhellenic Union of Tugboat Crews also participates in the mobilizations of PNO, which has also announced repeated 48-hour strikes from 6 am on Friday.

The seamen’s confederation speaks of the employer’s complete reluctance and refusal to enter into negotiations for the drawing up and signing of new Collective Labor Agreements for 2023, despite the fact that they had been sent on time – a quarter of a year ago – in a completely well-founded manner, with simultaneous notification to the relevant ministries, the financial, institutional and sectoral requests of the maritime sector.
It also calls for the fight against black uninsured work and the establishment of a permanent system of substantial financial support and protection for unemployed seafarers. It calls for an increase in the projected monthly unemployment allowance to 650 euros for singles and 850 euros for married people, with an additional 150 euros for each dependent person , so that the real needs of seafarers are covered, but also free medical care for them and their families.
The shipping unions are expected to hold a strike meeting today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. on the BlueStar ships, opposite the electric railway station in Piraeus.
