Polar temperatures prevail in northern Greece with the temperature in the morning hours of Wednesday reaching -16.2 degrees Celsius in Seli Imathia.

According to a network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens / Meteo.gr, the next lowest minimum temperatures were recorded in Agios Pavlos Imathia (-14.1), Pertouli Trikala (-13.4), Nevrokopi Fort (-13.2 ), Mavrolithari of Fokida (-12.7) and Nevrokopi (-12.7 degrees), while in the ski center of Kaimaktsalan it reached 18.6 °C.
According to the predictive data from the National Observatory of Athens until the afternoon hours today local snowfall is predicted in low altitude areas of Magnesia, Central and Eastern Sterea Greece, Evia, Northeastern Peloponnese as well as in the mountainous and semi-mountainous parts of Crete. The snowfall in Fthiotida and Viotia will be locally intense, while gradually from the afternoon the phenomena will temporarily weaken, with the possibility of their strengthening in the midnight hours of Thursday.
