The screening of the material – which is included in the case file anyway – was decided at the last meeting of the court, during examination of the police officer by the Department of Crimes against Life of Thessaloniki, an agency that carried out the investigations for the identification and arrest of the alleged perpetrators.
After all, it had also been shown as request on the part of the defense lawyers, in order for the witness to demonstrate the movements and positions of the 12 accused in relation to the bloody incident.
On the witness stand he will go up for second consecutive meeting the police officer, to answer this time, the questions of the civil action and defense lawyers. During the previous hearing and being examined by the president of the court and the prosecutor of the seat, he had referred thoroughly to the investigations of their service that led to the arrest of the persons involved, characterizing the attack as a “crude”.
He spoke about fan-motivated attacks, pointing out that they are “blind” in terms of the victims and emphasized that “it is important that the victims belong to an opposing team”, while adding that “everyone knows what to do, there is comfort, it is not one does for the first time”.
