For the 8th day, the trial of the 12 defendants for the murder of Alkis Kampanos and the wounding of his two friends, during the ferocious fan attack, in the area of ​​Harilaou, in the early hours of February 1, 2022, continues before the Mixed Jury Court of Thessaloniki.

The police officer of the Crimes Against Life Department of the Thessaloniki Police Department will take the witness stand for the 3rd consecutive session, whose examination was interrupted during the questioning stage by the defense attorneys. He is a key witness for the indictment, as his agency conducted the investigations for the arrest of the 12 persons involved.

Next, a car driver who was a short distance from the scene of the crime is scheduled to testify. The particular witness was passing by the scene and his vehicle was found behind the immobilized cars of the defendants.

During yesterday’s meeting, the outburst of Aristidis Kampanos, father of ‘Alkis, who, while watching the examination of the police witness by the defense lawyers, shouted his son’s last words – “Don’t hit me again” – leaving the audience. It was preceded by the screening of four videos from the scene of the murderous attack.
