It is noted that from the very first hours after the earthquake, our country was ready to send humanitarian aid to support the earthquake victims in Syria and any delay is not due to its own fault.

Greece, on the contrary, made great efforts to immediately send material to Syria, together with the European Commission and the European Civil Protection Mechanism, through which a coordinated and effective provision of assistance by the member states in affected areas is ensured.

The dispatch of humanitarian aid through the European Mechanism is carried out with the coordination of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
