With the sunny day as an ally, Zappeion today was filled with fun and color from the little protagonists of this year’s Carnival.
From 11.30 in the morning, with free entry for all, abundant streamers and confetti flooded the area. The well-known children’s favorite superheroes, knights, princesses, mermaids, Disney heroes and the Addams Family all joined the magicians, jugglers and stilt walkers, dancing and singing under the bright sun city.
The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, in a carnival mood, created the ideal musical atmosphere for young and old, while the make-up artists, in the paint studio, transformed the children with carnival colored designs (face-painting). And of course at the beautiful celebration, the unique group of Looney Tunes is present for the first time: Sylvester, Tweety and Daffy Duck with Bugs Bunny are there to meet all the children and take unique photos.
The mayor of Athens, Costas Bakoyiannis, was in Zappeion, talked to the little masquerades and wished them a “happy Halloween”.
The Halloween party will last until late afternoon.
