Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 21, the first mission of “Doctors of the World” departs from Athens for Turkey and Syria, in order to support the intervention personnel who are on the ground to deal with the devastating consequences of the earthquake.

As noted in a related announcement, “Doctors of the World” has already been working for several years in the region, actively supporting the local authority to guarantee access to Primary Health Care services, in 14 health centers and mobile clinics covering a population of approximately 900,000 people in the northeastern Syria. At the same time, they provide direct health services in the northwest of the country in 12 health centers, helping over one million people.
