A police operation in the Roma settlement “Agia Sophia” in Diavata, Thessaloniki and also in the settlement “Ypsomata”, took place yesterday morning
Great police operation was held yesterday in Roma camps in Thessaloniki.
Police officers of the Property Crimes Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, of the Delta and Oreokastro Security Departments, with the assistance of staff from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department of the same Directorate, DI.AS team. of the Direct Action Directorate of Thessaloniki, but also of the Directorates of Traffic, Police Operations and Foreigners of Thessaloniki, checked in total:
• 84 people,
• 62 vehicles and
• 2 houses
were arrested, a total of five people for various offenses (theft, violation of the Arms Act, violation of the Aliens Act) and confiscated:
- Four hunting rifles, two of which have scratched numbers and two stolen from areas of Kilkis and Magnesia, according to relevant theft reports,
- 249 cartridges and
- 355 packs of cigarettes, the legality of whose possession is being investigated.
- (8) Code violations were found, while the prescribed administrative fines were imposed and
- Immobilized (6) I.X.F. cars.
