Drugs, extortion, protection. These are the actions of the members of the gang of Albanian thugs who starred in the bloody episode in a cafe in New Ionia, where a 37-year-old patron was tragically killed by their bullets.

They are described as ruthless and dangerous by ELAS officers, who in the last 24 hours have launched a manhunt to locate and arrest them.

According to police sources, four people have already been identified, including the leader of the gang, while the results of the forensic laboratories that have literally made “leaf and feather” the two luxury jeeps which apparently belong to the perpetrators.

The black one that they abandoned outside the cafeteria in Nea Ionia, but also the silver Mercedes, in which they fled and yesterday morning the authorities located it in the area of Gyzi.

From the evidence so far that the ELAS extortion and murder police officers have in their hands, it seems that the bloody incident was about which gang will have the upper hand in protection.

In fact, experienced officers claim that a death appointment was made between the two gangs in this particular cafe.

Police sources say that the “tentacles” of the ruthless gang start from prisons, as its members allegedly have relations with criminals mainly from Albania who are locked up in prisons.

The ruthless gang consists of about ten people with a heavy criminal record, while 3-4 of them have also entered the music industry as bodyguards for well-known trappers.

As for the 37-year-old victim, the authorities’ assessment is that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, as there is no evidence that implicates him with the gang, nor has he ever been involved in the past.

A plumber by trade, he had gone to the cafeteria to watch a football match until a “stray” bullet claimed his life.
