An urgent investigation is being launched into the complaints of an executive of the Railway Federation, according to which there is no light signaling on the route of the Suburban that concerns the Dukissis Placentia – Airport section.
The Prosecutor’s Office of First Instance begins an urgent investigation after the public complaints of its representative Panhellenic Federation of Railways for signaling problems on a section of the Suburban route.
By order of the Head of the First Instance Prosecutor’s Office Antonis Eleftherianou an urgent investigation is launched into the complaints of an executive of the Railway Federation, according to which there is no light signaling on the route of the Suburban regarding the Dukissis Placentia – Airport section
Mr. Eleftherianos has already assigned the investigation, which took the form of an urgent one, as it concerns citizens’ safety issues, to the First District Prosecutor Nikos Stefanatos, who is instructed to immediately summon the representative of the employees for examination, in order to specify his complaint. At the same time, Mr. Stefanatos should request information from the company that has the responsibility of operating the Suburban, in order to study and establish whether everything that is being complained about by the Railway workers is true.
The purpose of the preliminary examination is to establish whether by which persons the offense of dangerous interference with fixed-track means of transport may have been committed.
