According to the doctors, the most difficult times were those with the ambulances that kept bringing dead people to the Larissa hospital from Tempi
The shocking images he saw at the Larissa Hospital when the first injured people started to arrive after the conflict in Tempi, is described by Palestinian doctor Hussam Naim who was on duty.
Speaking to ERT, he described the moments he lived by likening the images he saw to those in Gaza.
“When the first ambulances came with the injured from Tempi, I understood that we are dealing with new guys. The images I saw reminded me of being in Gaza, because they are scenes taken from war, from when I was in Gaza. And I said to my Director: “I feel like I’m in Gaza”», pointed out the Palestinian doctor,
As the doctor explained the most difficult moments were those with the ambulances that kept bringing dead people in the hospital of Larissa from Tempi. “That was the hardest part for us, it was young guys under 30.”
As the doctor says, “initially no one knew there had been a train collision, but everyone acted with composure, efficiency and professionalism, forming small teams to deal with each patient.”
“The children asked me about relatives and friends, other things children were in shock, the atmosphere was very heavy”, concluded the doctor.
