They continue railway strikes over the weekend for the tragic Tempe crash. No Hellenic Train routes, including Athens Suburban routes, will operate on Saturday 4 and Sunday 4 March 2023 due to the new 48-hour strike announced by the railway workers’ unions. For Sunday morning, in fact, the railway workers have planned a rally at Syntagma.

Railway services have been suspended from noon on Wednesday after the fatal accident.

As the Panhellenic Railway Federation (POS) had announced, a memorandum will be drawn up with all the problems concerning the Railway and an immediate meeting will be requested with the Ministry of Transport and the political parties, by next week at the latest, in order to submit the views of the trade union movement on security issues.

Immediately after the meetings and taking into account the results of the discussions, the Board of Directors will meet in order to take its decisions.
