KNE is calling for protest rallies all over Greece for the fatal accident in Tempi.
In the relevant announcement it states:
The new generation is seething with sadness and indignation. The dead are one of us and any one of us could be in their place. The reply to the “send me when you arrive” message never arrived!
The “freezing” from the horror of Tempe, the rage we feel, will become a river of struggle, which will not allow anyone to go unpunished.
We will be the voice of the dead. We have great responsibilities to reveal the truth. We break the silence, the hypocrisy, the propaganda of lies.
The crime was prescribed and the guilty known: The state and the company, for their profits, sacrifice lives!
It will not be forgotten:
• The strategy of the “liberation” of transport, promoted by all parties in the system, of the privatization of TRAINOSE.
• The “gifts” of 50 million euros a year to the Italian monopoly that everyone voted for, ND-SYRIZA-PASOK, while they gave nothing for infrastructure projects and security systems.
• The responsibilities of the state, which cut the OSE into pieces, in order to hand over the profitable pieces to the “investor” and load the losses on the backs of the people.
• Understaffing, intensification, flexible labor relations, turning a deaf ear to employee complaints… The list of crimes is endless.
Don’t be silent! It is our duty not to forget this crime, not to cover it up! The “So far!” to take the form of an organized struggle for the protection of the people and the new generation. In the dilemma “their profits or our lives” we must come out victorious!
We invite all members and friends of KNE, each and every young person to give a “way” to the rage!
