The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece decided to hold a commemoration for the repose of the victims in all the churches of the Church of Greece.

According to a relevant announcement issued by the Greek people, participating in the grief and suffering of the entire Greek people for the tragic train accident in the area of ​​Tempe, after the end of the liturgy of the next Sunday of Orthodoxy, he decided that a memorial service will be held for the repose of the victims in all the Holy Temples of the Church of Greece.

To this end, he has already sent a relevant circular note to the Archdiocese of Athens and the metropolitans of the Church of Greece.

The Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Hieronymos and the members of the Permanent Holy Synod, in the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos of Athens, where the Synodal Divine Liturgy will be held on Sunday, will perform the holy memorial service for the repose of the victims, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

“The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, participating in the grief and suffering of the entire Greek people for the tragic train accident in the area of ​​Tempe, decided that after the end of the Divine Liturgy of the next Sunday of Orthodoxy, March 5, 2023, a Memorial Service will be held for the repose of the victims of this bloody tragedy in all the Holy Churches of the Church of Greece.

To this end, he has already sent a relevant Circular Note to the Holy Archdiocese of Athens and the Holy Metropolises of the Church of Greece.
