Words are too poor to describe the unspeakable pain of the family and loved ones of 20-year-old Claudia – Alexandra Lata, whom the whole of Larissa is saying goodbye to today, Sunday, in the celebration of her funeral from the Holy Church of New Smyrna.

The girl lost her life in the tragic accident in Tempe last Tuesday night. The deceased leaves behind her father Edward and mother Alma, as well as her siblings Jenissa – Polixeni and Elvis – Mario.

Silent pain, immense sadness that can hardly be handled. Military parade to the Holy Temple to pay tribute.

Claudia, born in Larissa, had obtained Greek citizenship, while her parents run a butcher’s shop in the city, as reported on onlarissa.gr.

She was an excellent student at school and immediately after her graduation she entered the Medical Department of the Military School of Officer Corps and studied at the Medical School of AUTH.

The young student was returning to Thessaloniki after a three-day stay in Patras and couldn’t wait to go back to her school.

Her parents, who live in a village in Larissa, told her to “make a stop so we can see you”, but she refused in order to get to Thessaloniki faster and gain some hours of rest in order to restart reading for her school.

However, fate had the most unpleasant things in store for her and dozens more, mostly young people.
