“As we all understand, it is a reasonable and fair demand of Greek society that there be an immediate and in-depth clarification of all criminal cases related to the tragic train accident in Tempi. To this end, on behalf of the Greek government in prioritizing the relevant cases and assigning them, if you judge it to the highest possible investigative level.

In particular, in relation to the criminal assessment of systemic errors in the railway sector, including any delay in the completion of the required technological upgrade of the relevant infrastructures, please proceed regardless of the progress of the work of the committee of experts appointed to carry out their assessment from the administrative and technical point of view.

Upon completion of the commission’s work, its findings will naturally be communicated to the angelic authorities conducting the investigation to become part of the case file.”
