The happy news, amid the unspeakable pain left behind by the tragedy in Tempe, was conveyed by the father of the child who was fighting in the ICU.
With a trembling voice, the father of the 20-year-old, speaking in the morning on the television station “Action 4”, informed that his 20-year-old son extubated and smiled at them.
The health of the 20-year-old as his father said Nikos Stratelos is steadily improving and this is very happy news amid the mourning left behind by the tragedy in Tempe.
Nikos Stratelos noted that according to doctors’ assessments, the child is expected to be transferred to a room. The father thanked the doctors of both the Larissa General Hospital and those of Papanikolaou in Thessaloniki, saying: “My child was saved, but I can’t be happy, because other parents couldn’t feel the same way.”
The young man’s father also did one request not to play political games in this tragedy. “They entered the pre-election period and are trying to take advantage of it. Justice is not to punish the station master, but those who put an incompetent man in a post that had to do with lives. Respect for the people, to bury their children and let those who are in the hospital go home.”
As the 20-year-old’s father said, his son Stelios “was in the 5th carriage, he went to the first to get something and at the time of the collision he got out with other children through a broken window”.
