The antiquities will be handed over for safekeeping and final assessment to the Archaeological Museum of Vravrona.
They were collected ancient objects where were found midday hours on Sunday (5/3) at area of Artemis from the Department of Cultural Heritage and Antiquities of the Attica Security Directorate.
The ancient objects were transported by a group of police officers to the headquarters of the above service and examined by an archaeologist of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Eastern Attica, who opined that they fall under the protective provisions of the Law on the Protection of Antiquities, namely:
- Marble head of a bearded male figure -36- centimeters which is probably part of a relief
- Two (2) clay figurines of enthroned female figures
- Two (2) heads of clay female figurines with pole
- Part of a clay figurine of a female figure with an elaborate headdress
- Multi-colored lamp
- Iridescent beetle
- Clay compass body with its cover
- Stained clay cup
- Part of a clay bird figurine
- Clay figurine of a bird
- Upper part of a clay figurine of a female enthroned figure
- Section of clay face
- Clay compass body
- Clay censer cover
- Clay vessel base
