In the wider area of Agios Dionysios, the Piraeus Courts will be relocated as the tender by TACHDIK (Court Building Financing Fund) has been completed.

Specifically, the Piraeus Courts will be relocated to the Daskalaki estate in the Papastratos area in the wider area of Agios Dionysios, in the 5th Municipal Community, while the whole process is expected to be completed by 2025.

The mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, in his statements, spoke of an “extremely positive news for the city of Piraeus” stressing that the area has been developing rapidly in recent years and the arrival of the Metro a few months ago creates further momentum.

“Another important delay of decades for our city is underway and Piraeus will acquire by 2025 a modern, functional and safe Courthouse within the geographical boundaries of our municipality, something that was not at all certain in 2014 when we took over the administration of the municipality . With this development, it definitively closes a chapter of stagnation on this major issue, vindicating the current municipal authority, which, together with the Piraeus Bar Association and the rest of the city’s bodies, fought a “battle” for 8 years for the relocation of the Courts within the Municipality of Piraeus and was vindicated. As the mayor of Piraeus, I feel particularly proud that an emblematic Courthouse will be created, worthy of the history and prestige of Piraeus, the people of Piraeus, the judicial-lawyer world of the city and worthy of the development progress of Piraeus, which is changing every day for the better” .

We very much look forward to judging in a modern and safe courthouse, in a building that suits us and meets the basic and daily needs of the co-workers of the Justice and the people of Piraeus”, said Mrs. Harvalakou.
