Great protest rally for the fatal accident at Tempe after the collision of two trains, it takes place at this time in the center of Thessaloniki.

Labor unions, unions, student associations, collectives, pensioners, students and people from the wider anti-authoritarian space participate in the mobilization, who express their sadness and anger at the tragedy of Tempe.

“The crime in Tempe will not be forgotten”is the central slogan of the protest, with the demonstrators calling for accountability for the multi-fatal tragedy and at the same time for everything needed to be done for safe transport.

“The youth are sure to give a clear answer to those in charge and have not fallen into the pit of propaganda about human error and disorientation by various parrots. Human error was created by labor relations and fed endless millions to the parasites who have no problem putting the lives and dreams of the people and the youth in the balance of profit. This crime must be answered. The people and the youth demand justice for the victims. In order for the dreams of the youth to take revenge, no parasite must be able to put his life and health at risk”, said among others in his statements the Member of Parliament of Thessaloniki of the KKE, Leonidas Stoltidis.

Michalis Papadopoulos, labor adviser of the panhellenic federation of transport workers’ unions, said in his statements to journalists that in a few days we will remember the tragic accident with the students in Tempi and that a few days before this sad anniversary, we count another 57 dead in a railway accident.

“The wounds don’t want to be closed,” emphasized Mr. Papadopoulos and added:

“We have reached the point where we are fighting for social security. People’s lives are lost for the gains of the many. We will fight as long as our lives last. Drivers work 16-18 hours a day non-stop and it’s only a matter of days before another big accident happens. Every day we have traffic accidents but we are told about the human factor. But no one is looking for why the driver drives so many hours.”

The protestersThey will march in the city center in a short time. Egnatia Street remains closed at the height of Aristotelous in both directions.
