A heinous theft occurred yesterday in Evia.

In particular, a woman, who has troubled the authorities several times in the past, did not hesitate to steal a box of money intended for the Smile of a Child and had been placed in a pastry shop on Venizelou Street in Chalkida.

The store owner immediately notified the authorities.

Immediate Action police officers immediately rushed to the scene and tried to locate the perpetrator who, after the theft, fled in an unknown direction.

The situation with thefts in Evia has now reached an impasse.

It is recalled that, sophisticated thieves in Evia, a new incident of theft… of natural gas installation pipes occurred early on Thursday in Chalkida.

Strangers managed to untangle and remove the pipes without being noticed by anyone.

In fact, they were not satisfied with the pipes but then they removed rims from cars that were in the parking lot.

As it became known on 12/3 by the police, at the same time, after a thorough investigation by the police of the Chalkida Security Department, a total of three (3) thefts from shops and one (1) theft of a wheeled vehicle were solved in the wider area of ​​Chalkida.

In the context of the investigation, two (2) minor citizens were identified, one of whom was already detained in a Special Youth Detention Center and a case file was opened against them for distinguished cases of theft.

In particular, the period from 13 to 19-02-2023, the above:

• They broke the doors of two bakeries and a health store and removed sums of money and various tobacco products from inside, while
• they also removed a parked two-wheeled motorcycle which was found abandoned in the evening hours of 02-19-2023 and was returned to its owner.
In the file that was formed, the parents of the minors are also included, for neglecting their supervision, while the preliminary investigation was initiated by the Security Department of Chalkida.
