The president of the Authority, Ioanna Tsiaparikou, is speaking about coordinated character assassination in her person after the accident in Tempi and the announcement issued by the Railway Regulatory Authority regarding the incomplete training of station masters from 2021.

The president of RAS, in a text posted on her personal Facebook account, talks about her studies and professional career, stressing that she will continue to tell the truth and “do everything in her power so that they can live the our children with safety and perspective”.

“Because there is coordinated character assassination going on in my face.
Because I have been working for 25 consecutive years, with ethics, silently and efficiently.
Because wherever I have been, shipping, social security, health, transport, my course and my work has been flawless.
Because my studies and parchments are real and indisputable: Bachelor of Economics at the University of Piraeus, Master of International Transport at the University of Wales-Cardiff, PhD with Honors from the Department of Economics at the University of Piraeus.
Because I don’t come from a political or financial background.
Because I’m a woman.
Because I managed it alone, coming from a poor family, as my forgiven father practically helped anyone in need in his place, Zografou, Fokida and beyond.
Because I also worked as an EFKA employee to raise my children.
Because EFKA employees are the hardest workers in the public and often private sector.
Because, from whatever position I was in, I tried to fix, to create, to fix what cannot be fixed in a broken state.
Because I am a mother and I feel heartbroken for the people and children who have been lost.
I will continue to tell the truth and do everything in my power so that our children can live in our country with safety and perspective.
I will defend Right and Truth!”
