“The OSE was and remains a big problem. You have to clean it up as a public organization and so far we have not succeeded both as a political system and as ND”, he said today to SKAI. Labor Minister Kostis Hatzidakis.

“It is a relay race, in which, if all the runners do not run, there is no result at the end,” added the minister.
Mr. Hazidakis he said that in addition to remote management, “there is one more factor that should not be underestimated: the management and work culture at OSE. That’s where the responsibilities are and that’s where intervention is needed,” the minister stressed.

Alongside added that what the OSE in Greece needs is not only modern systems, but also a series of other interventions, such as strict management and the rigorous design of the whole system so that (OSE) can follow the example of PPC, OTE, PPA and even METRO of Athens, despite any problems that may exist.

Referred to in the accident in TempeMr. Hatzidakis pointed out that “whatever narratives there are, the tragedy is there and overshadows everything.”
“The government assumed its responsibilities. We don’t flaunt it. It was obvious. On the other hand, however, we do not see a corresponding spirit”, he emphasized.
“Anyway, if one looks for infallibility, the pope and SYRIZA have it,” commented Mr. Hatzidakis characteristically.

Invited to comment on the attitude of the former Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Costas Karamanlis and his decision to participate in the ballots, the minister stated that undoubtedly the decision of Mr. Karamanlis to resign should be recognized.

“He did the obvious, but it is not common in Greece. Mr. Karamanlis was installed yesterday, discussions will follow and in the end the decisions that will be the right ones will be taken by both the prime minister and the former minister”, said Mr. Hatzidakis.
Commenting on her review that Mr. Karamanlis has accepted until now, Mr. Hazidakis emphasized that “as wrong as indifference and political bigotry are, cannibalism is just as wrong. At some point we have to find the right measure.”

For work, and to the question why the collective bargaining on the minimum wage and for the minister to decide on it, Mr. Hatzidakis mentioned that our system, which is that the minimum wage is determined by the state, is the system that was expanded by the recent directive of The European Union on minimum wages in Europe.

Our system was agreed upon European Commission on Memoranda, then the EU proposed it at the European level and finally it was adopted at the European level.
“But apart from that,” added Mr. Hatzidakis, “no one prevents neither employers nor employees – not only in the context of sectoral agreements, that goes without saying – to come if they agree and give something more.”
