The tenth edition of Lollapalooza starts this Friday, the 24th, and runs until Sunday, the 26th. In addition to planning which shows to follow, choosing where to eat at the festival is also important, to save time in queues or moving around the Interlagos racetrack.
The event has fast food stalls such as hamburgers, hot dogs and pastries and foodtrucks spread around the racetrack. Street vendors also roam the area.
Another option is the area called Chefs Stage, which brings together restaurants by renowned chefs, such as Renata Vanzetto, Paola Carosella and Janaina and Jefferson Rueda. Famous addresses in São Paulo are also on the festival menu, such as Komah, Fôrno, Chimi Coripanes, Churrascada, WeCoffee, Bacio di Latte and a McDonald’s stand.
In all, there are 32 options for restaurants and food trucks. In doubt of what to choose, we have selected six suggestions below. And read here tips for not going through trouble at Lollapalooza. Good festival.
Vegan Butchery
It is the festival’s 100% vegan option. There are combo suggestions, such as number one, which includes a mr. vegan melt, with vegetable meat, and a coxinha, for R$48. The second offers the hot vegan sandwich plus coxinha for R$45. The spinach and jackfruit coxinhas cost R$14 each.
Braz Elettrica
A practical option is the good pizzas from Bráz Elettrica. They are assembled in Neapolitan style, individually, with natural fermentation dough. Available flavors are margherita and spicy pepperoni. There is also a vegan round, made with tomato sauce, oregano, garlic, basil, mushrooms, red onion, vegan parmesan and cashew nut catupiry.
hot pork
The stall sells Janaina and Jefferson Rueda’s hot dogs, from A Casa do Porco. The hot pork costs R$39 and is made with pork sausage, pickled red onion, cucumber, ketchup, mustard with tucupi and lemon mayonnaise on bread with milk. The vegan version, made with tofu sausage and mushrooms, costs R$35.
La Guapa
Chef Paola Carosella’s empanadas are also a practical suggestion for eating with your hands. The combo with three empanadas costs R$35. The flavors included are salteña (meat), porteña (cheese with roasted tomato) and amarrito (ham and cheese).
Matilda Snacks
Chef Renata Vanzetto’s restaurant offers the Big Pig (R$40), a ham sandwich with dijon mustard, caramelized onions and watercress on a baguette, and the kung fu (R$18), two pieces of fried vegetable gyoza with sauce sweet and sour, kewpie mayonnaise and cilantro.
Shuk
It has a menu of Middle Eastern food. The falafel sandwich with hummus, red cabbage relish, pickles, breaded eggplant, tahini sauce and red pepper paste costs R$35. Another option is the schnitzel sandwich, made with breaded chicken breast, which costs R$38.
