Modern robotics and STEM equipment was delivered today, in the presence of the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Nikis Kerameos, and a team of experts, to a kindergarten in Attica, as part of the delivery of the sets to all schools in the Territory, which began this week.

Young students and teachersthrough the presentation of robot manipulation, they measured the heart ratelearned about the sun’s path, gave voice commands and solved quizzes, among other things.

Through robotics, students in Kindergarten understand basic principles of interaction, while then in Elementary school they integrate basic principles of Programming into the educational process before being introduced to Programming.

The project entitled: “Supply of Robotics and STEM Equipment for Education” is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” and is a horizontal intervention of the Ministry of Education and Culture, as it concerns all the kindergartens, elementary and high schools of the country. The investment exceeds 30 million euros and utilizes funds from the European Union – NextGenerationEU, aiming to supply schools in the country with more than 177,000 sets of robotics and STEM, in order to effectively support the learning process through:
• the promotion of educational innovation
• familiarizing students with Programming and Technology
• the combination of a pleasant, playful, attractive interdisciplinary activity
• the reinforcement of group work
• introduction to problem solving
• the acquisition of organizational and project management skills
• enhancing communication skills and other necessary mental skills.

Along with the robotics sets, special educational materials, a targeted teacher training project, a program to create digital educational materials have been planned, while a support project -helpdesk- for robotic systems is also starting immediately, in parallel with the installation of the systems in schools. The digital school is becoming a reality.

Within the context of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs has drawn up a comprehensive program of actions for the development and modernization of education at all levels, aiming, among others, at the Digital Transformation of Education. The Action seeks to achieve an inclusive digital educational model, which
