What applies to absences and for students who are sick with Covid-19 and flu
Finally, after three years of implementation, the measures for coronavirus at schoolsas defined by a Joint Ministerial Decision of the Ministries of Health and Education (Government Gazette 2019 B/30-3-2023).
According to the decision, the five-day quarantine will not apply to students who are sick with coronavirus and absences will be counted as normal.
Also, absences due to flu will normally be counted, which until now were recorded but not counted.
The KYA has an article that states the following:
The joint decision of the Ministers of Development and Investments, Education and Religious Affairs, Labor and Social Affairs, Health, Interior and State “Operation of Primary Education Units” under data D1a/G.P.ok.50908/7.9.2022 is repealed from the publication of this and Secondary Education, Special Education and Training, laboratory centers and school laboratories, Second Chance Schools, Vocational Training Institutes, Post-high school year – Apprenticeship class EPA.L., Lifelong Learning Centers, E.E.C. structures. and D.B.M. of the Civitanidio Public School of Arts and Vocations, tutoring schools, foreign language centers, training and skill certification providers, foreign language training institutes and all kinds of related structures, Public and Private, Public Libraries, the National Library of Greece and the General Archives of the State during start of the 2022-2023 school year and measures to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus during their operation” (B’ 4695).
