Honda HR-V: With e: HEV technology aims to achieve excellent hybrid performance |

by

The new Honda HR-V aims for driving experience, excellent performance thanks to the powerful and efficient hybrid system e: HEV with two electric motors, but also for driving comfort.

The next generation SUV is distinguished for its spaciousness, comfort and usability, while the advanced safety systems and technological development are remarkable. On the other hand, the exterior design has a bold and elegant shape inspired by a coupe model.

The new HR-V, which will be available in Europe from the end of 2021, is the next model with the “distinctive” e: HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) in the Honda product family, after the renewed CR-V and the new Jazz released in 2020.

The system consists of two compact, powerful electric motors powered by an Atkinson 1.5LDOHCi-VTEC petrol engine, a lithium-ion battery and an innovative single-gearbox combined with an intelligent power control unit. The system is based on the know-how that Honda has acquired in its 20 years of involvement with hybrid road car technology and Formula 1.

Its power: HEV increased from 109 horsepower in the Jazz to 131 horsepower with 253Nm of torque. The CO2 emissions of the efficient hybrid system start at 122 grams per kilometer (WLTP), the consumption from 5.4 liters / 100km (WLTP) and the acceleration from 0-100km / h is achieved in 10.6 seconds.
