Conformity and a high sense of responsibility from customers and entrepreneurs was shown on the first day of intensive controls in the market for compliance with the measures, as the commander of the National Transparency Authority, Angelos Binis, told SKAI and the show “Kalimera”.
“The campaign of raising awareness and informing the public, but also of the entrepreneurs about the new measures had an effect. “The inspections carried out at noon in commercial streets, shops, malls, which have now entered this process, showed that there is compliance, a high sense of responsibility and customers who respect the healthy entrepreneur showed their certificates without any problems,” he said.
He referred to the case of the night shop in Gazi, where customers without the certificates were identified, noting that because it was a recurrence for the third time, the license was revoked for 60 days.
In fact, Mr. Binis clarified that no one can escape the controls, as the database shared by all the bodies that conduct them, allows them at any time to have the full history for each VAT number for the last 18 months .
“With the tablets and smartphones we have, we have the ability, regardless of the authority that has imposed the fine, to see the history and this helps us in two things. “Firstly in the planning of the audits so that we do not tire the auditees and secondly to decide the amount of the fine that will be imposed in case of a second or third recurrence”, he stressed.
Finally, as he mentioned, the system shows sensitive structures, nursing homes, welfare structures, where inspections have been carried out since September to ensure that the authorities comply with the measures.
