At the arrest of a 66-year-old school bus driver in the context of the traffic accident, the police proceeded yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, April 4, in Kalyvia, who, as it was found he did not have a driving license.

According to ELAS, the 66-year-old was found outside a school complex to drive a bus owned by himin which 40 students were on board.

During the check it was found that his driver’s license had been revoked, on October 10, 2022, by police officers of the Attica Traffic Directorate. In particular, after an offense that had been confirmed to him, he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, dangerous driving, assaulting police officers, intimidation and insulting.

The police stopped the bus in Kalyvia yesterday, the students disembarked and their return journey was made with other buses.

The arrested person is going to be taken to the competent authority prosecutor.

A 66-year-old citizen was arrested, in the context of the traffic jam, at noon today (4-4-2023) in Kalyvia, by police officers of the 2nd Traffic Department of Southeast Attica, for driving without a driving license.

In particular, the above-mentioned driver was spotted outside a school complex in Kalyvia, driving a bus owned by him, with about 40 students as passengers.

During the check, it was found that the 66-year-old was driving without a driving license, as it had been taken from him earlier, by police officers of the Attica Traffic Sub-Directorate, after an offense that had been confirmed to him and he had been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, dangerous driving, violence against employees, disrespect and insults.

The bus was then stopped, the students were disembarked and their return route was carried out by other buses.

The 66-year-old has previously been arrested for similar offences.

The arrested person will be taken to the competent authority Prosecutor.
