“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is modernizing and pioneering new digital services through the consular authorities” is underlined at the beginning of the post.

The aim of the virtual assistance service is to improve and provide high-level services of the Greek consular authorities, both for Greek citizens who live or are abroad and for foreigners, without the need for their physical presence at the consular authorities, for many of the consular services.

The virtual assistant has the role of “digital employee” and interacts with the user, understanding and answering the questions asked in written language, through a digital channel (Consular Authority Website, Facebook Messenger or Viber). It also suggests to the client the actions to take, depending on the question, regarding each consular service.

The languages ​​in which Virtual Assistant works are: Greek, English, French, German, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Swedish, Turkish.
