There was a disagreement between the prosecutor and the investigator on whether or not the trapper and one of his two associates, who are accused of the rape of the 19-year-old student from Thessaloniki, should be remanded in custody.

After their lengthy testimony to the interrogator, there was a disagreement between the interrogator and the prosecutor, and now the decision on whether they will be remanded in custody or not is expected to be decided by the Rethymnon Misdemeanor Council. Until then they will remain under house arrest at an address they will declare.

The third party involved in the case was released under restrictive conditions and with a cash guarantee of 3000 euros.

The 19-year-old’s complaint

It is recalled that according to what was reported by the young girl, who is from Albania and studies in Rethymno, on Sunday night she had gone to a well-known shop in Rethymno where the 24-year-old trapper was singing.

According to his information cretapostthe 19-year-old reported that after the concert she, who was intoxicated, together with a 23-year-old, the trapper’s partner, went to a hotel in the city.

There, the 23-year-old offered her a quantity of cannabis, causing the girl to completely lose control. A little while later, the 24-year-old trapper arrived in the room together with a 30-year-old man of Albanian origin, who, according to the 19-year-old, performed sexual acts on her.

When a little while later she realized what had happened, the young woman informed some of her friends and they went to the Rethymnon Police.

On Monday night, the police arrested the 30-year-old man at the port of Heraklion while he was preparing to board the boat bound for Piraeus.

What does the forensic report say?

According to the forensic examination to which the 19-year-old was submitted, there are no findings that advocate rape. In fact, according to the same secure information, this girl has also in the past reported another rapper for rape, but it was never proven.

In detail, the forensic examination states:

“During the external inspection of the body, the following can be seen: A scaly rash on the left knee, more than 3 days old. Ecchymosis of small dimensions on the right breast with an image of its provocation by a suction of the skin (pacifier) ​​with such a color, which determines the time of provocation approximately two days ago.

No other recent injuries can be seen on the rest of the body surface, and in particular no injuries can be seen on the inner surfaces of the arms (traces of fixation), no injuries can be seen on the inner surfaces of the upper third of the thighs (violent abduction of the lower limbs).

No injuries can be seen in the area of ​​the neck, nor in the area of ​​the mouth and the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. During the gynecological examination, no injuries can be seen in the perinatal area. The sinus entrance shows no damage.

The labia majora and labia minora as well as the area around it show no injuries. The anal ring shows no damage while the tone of this sphincter is checked as normal.

Conclusion: As it appears from the forensic examination, such findings as to advocate for rape are not discernible, but it cannot be ruled out with certainty from the present examination alone.”
