The first docking of a French warship in the port of Alexandroupolis was announced by the president of the Alexandroupolis Port Organization (OLA AE), Konstantinos Chatzimichael, in a social media post.
“In the context of the strategic partnership between Greece and France in Defense & Security and the safeguarding of common interests in the Eastern Mediterranean and Europe, the Frigate FREMM FS #Languedoc of the French Navy – Marine nationale has been in the port of Alexandroupoli since this morning“, notes Mr. Chatzimichail and adds:

On the Languedoc frigate Mr. Hatzimichael and the CEO of OLA SA, Costas Hadjiantoniou met with the Ambassador of the French Republic in Greece, Patrick Maisonnave, the Commander of the ship, CV Claire Pothier, the General Commander of the 12th Division and Lieutenant General Christos Bakirtzis!
