In a video documentary secured by SKAI, for the first time in front of the camera, the arrest of smugglers who passed by speedboat from one end of Evros to the other is recorded.
As seen in the video, the smuggler has just disembarked from his speedboat in Tychero of Evros, two illegal immigrants from Turkey and is trying to return to the neighboring country to make another route.
At that moment, an inflatable boat with Greek border guards who had placed it under surveillance, approached him and stopped him.
SKAI publishes for the first time a video from the arrest of traffickers on the river Evros.
The traffickers, an Afghan and an Iraqi, had been under the microscope of the border guards for at least 10 days and after the 6th transfer of migrants on December 16, 2021, they intervened and arrested them.
According to the border guards in SKAI, the Turkish authorities and the traffickers’ networks are acting in harmonious cooperation by sending immigrants to our country.
The specific success of the border guards adds to a number of other cases, a result of the professionalism and efficiency with which they perform their duties at the ends of the country.
